Tuttosport reports how Inter plans to reinvest some gains this summer.
Inter are banking on the sales of Ricky Alvarez and Saphir Taïder in their spending program. €18 million is the total reimbursement for both players. Unless Sunderland are relegated, they are forced to buy Alvarez. And the Algerian is on an option to buy deal, but Inter will try to keep Taïder in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Of that €18 million, €12 million is directly reserved for the Shaqiri deal, the rest going into remaining budget. Other expenditures already planned out of the total transfer budget include €7 million to buy Osvaldo, and a payment of €2.5 million for Gary Medel. Yann M’Vila (€9 million option) will leave at the end of the season, and the payments for Dodô will start in 2016. Any negotiation for Podolski will depend on how he fares. M’Vila’s situation could change depending on any outgoing midfielders, and if his performances and fitness increase in quality, and quantity respectively.
However the biggest potential cash cow remains the Champions League. “At this time, all energies are focused on the Champions League, whose group stage alone guarantees €28 million,” wrote the paper.

Who should stay, and who should go in your opinion?

If we manage to sell Guarin for ~12m I think we could retain M’Vila – if he ups his performance of course. We need a tall and strong player in the midfield, like Mancini used to have Vieira. Idea of Thiago Motta emerged, but it all depends on the price. He’s not the youngest out there. We have 1st option on Pedro Obiang but he’s still young and can learn more by starting every week in Mihajlovic’s Samp.
Kuzmanovic is also for sale if we receive decent offer – I mean he’s just a backup, we have Obi for that and Tino-Sven Sušić is coming in June. Keep an eye on Baselli from Atalanta and Gaston Ramirez who doesn’t enjoy Premier League.
We could have a look at Luca Cigarini [FREE TRANSFER in summer] but I admit we already have that kind of player in Hernanes/Kovacic.
My priority would be to sign Konoplyanka for FREE because he’s only 24, really fast, has football IQ, cold blooded & technical winger!!!
There are also other interesting players available for FREE in summer, like Ayew, Luiz Adriano and Gignac. But Konoplyanka would be the best choice IMO.
I believe sunderland wont be relegated, but i am afraid sassuolo are not willing to buy taider. And i think we have option to extend mvila for another year before redeem 9m in the following season.
I think our biggest chance of Champions league is through the Europa league and serie A.
You think? I think our biggest chance is through FA Cup and Bundesliga 😛
I must have been tired, should have said “Europa league rather than serie A” … 🙂
That’s a possibility but it’s very risky to rely on. I mean any team that reaches the upper stages of the competition can be dangerous and have a good team play, forged for years perhaps. We are still building and it would be more logical to progress week by week, until we reach and keep 3rd spot. We also have to secure Europa League as a minimum safety measure, but focus & push for UCL.
you must be some kind of genius!
See above :b..
Wasn’t Alavarez option to buy removed after Sunderland revised the deal?
No, the deal becomes automatically permanent if they manage to avoid relegation. Forza Sunderland! 😀
The only player thats worth anything to sell is guarin… Oh! And sell vidic to lessen his embarrassment
Got CL spot and everything will be easier.
I think on summer we could sell Palacio too, his contract is until 2016 and he receive a big salary. So maybe we could replace him with Poldi or someone else.So his salary could be given to Poldi.
I`m 100 with you on that, i wood love to se Salaha play on Palacio`s roll
Sounds good so far. Get rid of dead wood in the name of Jonathan, Guarin and such as well and we have quite some money to invest.
We should get rid of Krhin, Kuzmanovic, Jonathan, Obi, Guarin (and probably Campagnaro will leave at the end of the season too). Definitely keep Osvaldo and Medel – and if we sell the abovementioned I’d also keep M’Vila. Think we could also get rid of Vidic and even Ranocchia if we can find good replacements in defense.
I’d invest the money in Shaqiri and Thiago Motta, as well as another full back (Davide Santon comes to mind for some reason), a stopper (Nastasic?) etc.
(this is a relatively long term plan, certainly not doable this winter).
Obi ? the man is a monster! great player, need`s more play time
hahaha sorry, he is no monster.. He lacks skills concentration the only good thing about is that he runs runs and runs he never stops, but he is a headless chicken
True he isn’t BUT he loves being at Inter even though it means sitting on the bench and waiting for his chance! We need these squad players aswell – players Daren Flecther and O’shera at Utd, players without much quality but still players with the club in there hearts
Performance and result is what matters on the field afterall
I see your point, just one question, wouldn’t you rather have a Shaquiri than an Obi, or even have an andrea pallazzi or bonazoli etc.. that will actually learn soething and Improve I like Obi too but ..
Friend, when 6 of the starting players are Retarded, you really think Kovacic, Icardi, Hernanes, Palacio and others can play good. No Retarded people drag people down to the same level they are. Remember when Leonardo was at inter. Obi was one of our best even with stramaccioni
I’m really sorry we’ve all seen him play multiple times, sometimes things go his way sometimes don’t but there lies the difference between good and bad and mediocre players, he’s mediocre he depends on other to perform but won’t do nothing alone, this is a dude that I’ve seen being outplayed by a Primavera teen … and by following your thinking we can say that Jonathan is world class , cause he’s performed well in some matches .. lets WAKE UP
