He showed no fear of his opponents laughing in Tevez’s face when the Argentinian attempted to grab the ball and take a quick free kick. His attitude gave an important signal to his team mates the moment he entered the field. On a technical level the German has already shown his versatility by covering three roles during the second half. Left midfielder, right side of a trident and even falling back to defend once Kovacic had been sent off.
