According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Nike is keen on the transfer of their main sponsored athlete in Switzerland to Inter for commercial reason to the extent that it’s ready to pay portion of the agreed fees between the two teams, only Bayern Munich’s agreement is awaited, the latest info about the deal is that Inter raised their offer to an immediate €3 million plus €13 million at the end of the season.
Inter would offer the Swiss the shirt number 91, his birth year, since his favorite 11 is already taken by Podolski.

It does though sound weird, as the market in Austria should not be that big with their 8,5 million population. Why did they not help out with Naingoolan, when Indonesia has over 250 million in population and Belgium has 11 million? A bigger market, obviously not a player who were quite as known as Shaqiri or as flairful. Why did we not get aid for many of those players we were interested in playing with Nike shoes? Some of those players later ended up in teams who play with other companies shirts and also the national teams.
Nike had to with Zlatan for an example during his time in Milan, have him wearing normal t-shirts in commercials because Milan played in Adidas and the Swedish national team in Umbro.
