After Xherdan Shaqiri’s official presentation, the Swiss international spoke to RSI about Inter’s objectives this season:
“How was my arrival at Malpensa? It was definitely something incredible. It was an honor for me, this is something I will remember even after I retire. This outcome was good for both Bayern and the Swiss national team. I think I am a good player and and they welcomed me very well. I am very happy to be here and yes, the reception I received was amazing. I know that big players are always under a lot of pressure, it is normal. Now I am happy that I will finally play: This is the most important thing because I suffered a period in which I was not happy at Bayern. I wanted a new experience. It is a new beginning for me now. I want to experience new things and be an important player for the team. It is a necessity that we make the Champions League. To do this, we must get three point every game and I am confident that we can do so. ”
Shaqiri was then asked if he thinks he is the best Swiss player at the moment:
“No, there are many good Swiss players today. The attackers definitely get the most attention because they are offensive players. In our national team, we have a great balance.”
