Of course he disappears when midfield can’t link 3 passes like today. And it wasn’t like he wasn’t trying today, he ran a lot and helped defense few times. Once again Palacio was absolutely catastrophical, selling Icardi would mean staying without any real striker because Palacio is over the hill.
I’ll always be against selling Icardi, just like Kova and Juan, Inter needs to build on them. We saw today that getting Inter back to the top will be long process and selling our youngsters will only prolong that process.

And 3 of those 10 were against Sassuolo, so I have no clue what you guys see in Icardi. Poacher with great finishing is what Inter needs if we are going to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. Team needs a striker that can score most of the chances he gets and that’s exactly what Icardi is. Without his goals Inter would be fighting for 16. place. I prefer a good poacher or target man over false 9 or some similar shit any day. Seriously what more do you want from Icardi? He scored 10 goals already even though he gets very little useful balls from the midfield.

Between Osvaldo and Icardi, I chose Osvaldo every day of the week. Better pace, he actually goes back and helps with the build up. (I know he’s pretty much out of the team) Icardi has scored 10 goals, 3 were against Sassuolo. What do I want from him? To fucking provide for the team, that’s what I want. If midfield can’t give you balls, you go look for them. He’s barely above average in my opinion. But hey, that’s just me. I see a lot of potential in Kovacic and in Juan Jesus, but Icardi, not so much. If Liverpool is willing to pay 40 million, that’s pure profit for Inter. And of course there are great playera under that price. You talk of Icardi like he’s the next Batistuta or something, be real bro.
He has 10 player behind him, it is not his job to get back for the ball, he is not that type of a striker and in this type of formation he is not supposed to get back for the ball. It would disturb the formation.
