Actually both Mazzarri and Mancini had said that Icardi and Palacio were starters. Osvaldo was to provide competition and cover for striker position.

Osvaldo create problems even in Roma, Southampton. Mario had problems in City only and with Inter Fans. Osvaldo even wanted to punch Icardi. If Guarin did not yell at him, he would have, and have had his contract terminated.
