It seems that Davide Santon is returning to Inter on transfer deadline day.
Santon released the following statement on both his official Facebook as well as Instagram accounts this morning: ‘’Life is strange. I never imagined I would come back. I want to thank Newcastle and all the fans for the last 3 and a half years. We have had many good times together and this city and team will always remain in my heart.’’
Santon will arrive on loan with a mandatory right to buy on the basis of appearances made by the player. Santon was interviewed this morning at Linate Airport and had this to say. “I’m happy to be back, Inter is where I grew up. I did not expect to be back but I’m happy. I don’t know if I will be able to play on Sunday but I will give my best.’’
