This is what I would try out if I were Mancini
Why not play both him and Kova behind Icardi? Sacrifice Palacio and use him as a sub. We should not waste the Talent of either Shaqiri or Kova, we should build a team around them, Icardi and the new constellation in the midfield (Medal, Bro and now possible Guarin (wtf??)).

It seems that there is little space for Kovačič currently, and we actually had some really solid midfield performances in the last 2 games in which he didn’t start. I can’t see him starting in a formation with 2 strikers, only if Mancini swaps back to 4-2-3-1 where Shaqiri plays as a right winger.
I would say he’s already fundamental in our attacking phase. He provided fluidity and fast movement, non of our player could do that
How about kovacic? He is good, need play grow…
Am I the only one concerned about Kovacic? With a midfield 3 of Brozovic medel and guarin and Shaqiri playing behind stickers he has no place in the team.

He was very nervous today. But the work he’s done off the pitch is starting to show. Physically he’s a beast, all he needs is to be calm and he’ll start being a decisive player in every match.
