I agree with you. Rannochia is played good in this match, he is the only defender who trying to block Guetti shot. He can read the game properly. The first Celtic’s goal is because Kuz slips and team already lose the position, the second Celtic’s goal because Camp so slow to cover the celtic’s player, and the last one (in my opinion) is because Kov make unnecessary move to steal the ball from behind. He should let the player in front of the Celtic’s player to take the ball, they have a better position.
I take my words back. After watching the replays I can only say Ranocchia personally let in the second goal with a horrible judgement call, and was badly positioned for the 3rd as well. He does have some skills, but he’s simply not dependable enough to be an Inter defender. And it costs us in every game.
I see it in a different way. The second goal come because Camp is too late to cover the Celtics player, meanwhile Ranno already cover the other player. The third goal, I will say it is because Kov unnecessary moved. He should let the other Inter player in front of Celtic’s player to take the ball and helping by giving the pressure. Ranno is the only one who anticipating the movement by Guetti.
Sure, if we compare Ranno with Lucio or Samuel. He is not near both of them. All I want to say is, the defends is quite okay actually. We lose in the midfield where Kuz should be replace by Hernanes to maintain the possession football, and Palacio replace by Puscas to give some energy. And also, Guarin is disappear in this match. Ausilio needs to buy some consistent player such as Santon or Brozovic in the summer. Anw, nice game to watch! 🙂
It was a simple situation with a cross from the touchline and he was right behind the opposing player. He had all the time in the world to simply jump and clear the ball. I mean his height is his only advantage. And yet he chose to cover. Terrible assessment of the situation.

I do agree, he can read the game well. Kuz should replace by Hernanes to keep the possession. While Palacio should change by Puscas in the second half, he is slow in 2nd half.
Guarin’s passes were always meant for fast players and palacio just won’t cut it – Icardi would have linked up with guarins passes and probably scored
I’m pretty sure Palacio is faster than Icardi. He’s out of form, but he is still faster.

Yeah. We are winning but shouldn’t be blinded by the actual game. Our goals had a great amount of luck and we actually conceded 2 goals to them which is something to watch out for.
