Good news are coming for Roberto Mancini from the training session today. As SkySport24 reports the coach should have both Ranocchia and Andreolli back at his disposal for the game on Monday. Both players went through the training session with the rest of the group without any problems and could be in the squad for the match. At this point, more than Jonathan whose season is finished, it’s only Nagatomo that is missing. Mancini should confirm the 4-3-1-2 with the only doubt being whether to play Brozovic or Kuzmanovic.

The christmas tree formation intrinsically lacks width up front else I’d agree wholeheartedly with the formation jackabood proposed. If we accept the midfield Mancio has favoured the last couple of serie a games then the real challenge is fitting Icardi, shaqiri and kovacic in the 3 attacking positions. For me those names lead me to think of Mazzarri’s Napoli triumvirate-Cavani, Lavezzi and Hamsik. I can’t quite describe Lavezzi’s position but basically Icardi is our Cavani, Shaqiri is our Lavezzi (only on right instead of left side) and Kova is our Hamsik.

that lineup looks very good, shaqiri as a second striker with his pace and outside of the box curled shots with kovacic behind him and icardi looks interesting.
The fullbacks would have to move quite far up the pitch though as that formation seems to lack a bit of width or players required to cross if needed.
Brozo is gonna start of course… and I hope to see andreoli and JJ in defence… oh and d’ambrosio

Well said I agree with any formation that kivacic included in and palacio not
But Mancio can plan more aggressive than this. He will stick with a Treq and 2 forwards. Dang, if we can’t play bold against Cagliari than I am going to start cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I do not deny that when Kovo is on the field the team looks confused at times.
I really hope to see inter putting kova and shaq behind icardi
