After Inter’s 1-0 loss against Fiorentina, Roberto Mancini spoke to Sky:
“We knew that Fiorentina is a great team. We had a lot of chances to equalize, but the opposition did what they had to do. After playing a lot of games I think we got a bit tired. Palacio’s chance? It was awful. If he passed the ball to Icardi we probably would have scored. However, the team reacted well, and could have equalized on a number of occasions. The match went well, and we have to be happy about our reaction, because Fiorentina are a great team. The problem was that we were too hesitant. We had to be more composed and clinical in attack. In the end, we could not do much. Will Icardi leave for 40 million? It was more important to win tonight. Shaqiri? He did not start because he played on Thursday. When he entered the match, he made an impact. Kovacic played well too. Podolski has to do better. We know he can do better, and we all hope he will do better. I’m telling you, this guy is delusional. The problem is not the defeat, but the attitude and another after another, after another, after another poor decision of the coach. You just can’t play like that in game against direct rival for Europa League spots with only idea how not to concede and not to lose. Doesn’t have to mention that Fiorentina were without many important players like Basanta, Borja Valero, Pizarro, Mario Gomez, Giuseppe Rossi, Babacar got injured and they even have to finish with nine players because of injuries. For another time Mancini delaying with the substitutions. And you just can’t make substitution D’Ambrosio for Santon when you’re losing, desperately need goal, when you have offensive players like Hernanes or Puscas on the bench. This is criminal, because this game is for six points, when you play against direct rival. Shaqiri was tired to start, but Campagnaro wasn’t, or Medel, or Guarin? Every team needs rotation, but this was the worst time. The game was very important and our next game is after a week against Napoli. Our play before they score was disgrace, slow like i was watching slow motion, predictable and without any idea. Players doesn’t know how to move without ball and what to do in attack and defense. We just passing and waiting someone to do some miracle by himself or opponent to do some huge mistake. And this is not only in this game, against Celtic was the same. And this is without opponent to pressing us in our half, if they do this things getting even worse.
How long Guarin had before he performed? Food for thought!

Neto saved the game for them, that’s oblivious. A few more points is that, Poldi, Vididc, and Kovacic all showed nothing in the game. They looked tired and out of place, poor Vidic, all those heaved long balls forward, cant stand it. Just a bad game, no good points. Palacio, just square the ball, hopefully Icardi doesn’t sky the shot. Forza Inter! This was an important match that we didn’t show up for.

Good game, I choose to see the improvements in this game – shaq is really getting settled in his new role – Guarin is consistent (which is ironic because almost everybody else isn’t) – palacio despite not passing has been showing improvement every match – and we learned puscas over podo any day
