From the title, I thought the article was going to talk about Mancini trying out Kovacic-Shaqiri behind Icardi. I wouldn’t mind giving that a try against Wolfsburgo. Guarin and Hernanes are also goal threats.
Kovacic won’t do a thing against any defense at the moment. He is lost and needs to re-discover himself, toughen up, bulk up as he is too light weight and stop his headless chicken runs that only gift possession to the opposition.

It seems that Mazzarri had hypnotized him for almost two years about his playing style, and somehow Kovacic hardly forgets about it. Kovacic needs to get his head right and realize that WM has gone from Inter. We can see that Kovacic looks confused about his position in Mancio tactic especially with Shaqiri’s arrival, moreover he’s getting so nervous on the pitch because we put too much burden on his shoulder. Remember, he’s just a 20 years old kid, a super talented kid though. Only Messi and CR7 did more wonderful achievements in his age. So please be patient with him, guys. Do not put too much burden on him. Otherwise, we could repeat Pirlo and Coutinho stories.
