Fredy Guarin spoke with Inter Channel’s Roberto Scarpini after the match against Napoli too.
“We reacted to the situation and this was important. We never gave up, we did very well to come back from being 2 goals down. There were some heated exchanges with Koulibaly and I replied to him in French. We’re colleague’s who played a game of football.”
“Going back to the match we were able to hold Napoli off in the middle of the park, we created spaces and goal scoring chances up until the penalty. We’re sorry we weren’t able to win because when Napoli were down to ten men we would have been able to win if we had a few more minuets to play” Guarin concluded.

There’s that key word again ‘reacted’ if we had acted we would have won,we simply just can’t afford to let opponents score for us to start to play.Call me crazy but i think Wolfsburg would have to score early for us to win. Apparently the only way we turn on is when we concede, sad to say.
Nope your not crazy, I’ve had the same thought – mancini should tell the team to play as if they are down two goals
* Tell them to play as if it’s a world cup final and they’re retiring right after. for those 90 mins nothing matters except winning that game
I think it has to do with the fact that when Inter get pressed really hard they get confused and don’t know what to do, missed passes, miss-communication… But, if the opposite team back ups and give us room to work we can become pretty good. So, usually when the other team is winning by 1 or two goals or they get tired in the second half they relax a bit and become less intense in their marking, that is when inter can show some quality plays and score goals. I really think is part of the mentality, and Mancini needs to keep working on that. Wolfsburg is definitely going to attack us and press us hard, as they will be the home team. So, we will see what happen. I hope we can get a 1-1.
