Xherdan Shaqiri will be out for a week after tests this morning showed an elongation of the hamstring in his left thigh.
The Swiss playmaker will miss Inter’s games against Wolfsburg and Sampdoria according to fcinter1908.it.
This leaves Mateo Kovacic and Hernanes to fight over a spot in the team for Inter’s most important match of the season against Wolfsburg.
We would like to hear who you think should replace Shaqiri.

What worry me the most is Kovacic morale is in very poor condition, so i doubt he can replace Shaqiri. Maybe if he play, it’s gonna be in deeper position. We’ll gonna play this match in attack mode anyway, so lets just score a lot off goals.
I think that I would rather have Hernanes against Wolfsburg. He is more of a goal threat, with more experience, as well as having (imo) a better mentality of late.

Im afraid we might suffer the same faith as Arsenal did when they played monaco at home. Monaco sat back and let arsenal attach, then they hit them on the counter (superbly done). With our shaky defence this might be the case.

You know why defense is bad? because every time our attack fails, only medel and 2 defenders at the back and medel misses tackles sometimes, so really cant blame defenders. We need the next Cambiasso!

Hernanes, when fit, is very good and the team performs better when he is playing. I believe both should play and i expect them to give their best.
It is a game with no tomorrow and we have to attack and run like hell from the first minute.
In think we need both , Kovacic is a deep play maker (just like pirlo) . Just put him back and see another pirlo . hernanes must play behind the strikers , Line up :

You don’t take a pacey dribbler and play him as a deep playmaker, that’s not how it works.
until now it proved that his best position is the DLP, so in the paper is another story
I do agree with you. Kova needs space to run, he is a good dribbler but he needs space to accelerate. Now my concern is who is going to replace Hernanes when he run out of gas around the 50th minute.
i don’t know bout the rest, but i always thought MK always suits the Trequarista role, behind the two forwards. This is the positing that’s actually allows him the space and that dazzling footwork and the goals we’re all missing of late. Not “Regista” or dpl some here might put it. Hernanes is more of attacking midfielder but not really a Trequarista, i think he’s more suit playing in the central midfield in the 4-3-1-2 system or push him as attacking winger like Podolski. Regista is someone like Brozovoc but he isn’t available for EL this season, so it’s down to Kuz 🙂 If RM wants to really take the team against Wolfsburg, I would like to see him play 4-1-3-2, this might give Inter more room with 5 attacking players, with Guarin-Kovacic-Hernanes trio behind the 2 strikers with only Medel as defensive mid. Its’ a gamble but this is win or bust game anyway. Forza Inter!
