Inter crashed out of the Europla League after a lacklustre performance against Wolfsburg which ended in the Bundesliga outfit coming away with a 1-2 away win after Nicklas Bendtner scored the winner.
Inter’s poor performance is also reflected in the ratings.
Juan Pablo Carrizo – 5,5: Was given a chance to redeem himself after last weeks horror show & failed to do just that. Made a few decent saves but not more.
Hugo Campagnaro – 5: Slow, out of shape & completely unable to cross the ball to a team-mate. Looked like he was playing in slow motion. Sub off in 68th min.
Andrea Ranocchia – 5: Didn’t make any horrific mistakes which constitutes a ‘good’ day for him, which in turn tells you all you need to know as to his ‘class.’
Juan Jesus – 4,5: Ranocchia is to Juan what Kryptonite is to Superman. Looks like a lost school child & plays accordingly. Please Mr. Mancini, no more Rano & Juan pairings in the middle of the defense.
Davide Santon – 6: Continues to impress, especially with regards to his crossing & movement with the ball. Ran tirelessly up & down the pitch.
Gary Medel – 5,5: Wins the ball time & time again only to see he has no-one to pass it to so just boots it up pitch in frustration.
Fredy Guarin – 6: Not one of Fredy’s better games as he let his frustration show by making mistakes. However, showed will & determination.
Hernanes – 5: Got an assist for the goal but aside from that he was unwatchable: slow, awful technique, poor decision-making etc.
Mateo Kovacic – 5,5: Tried to create something time & time again but failed every time. Is out of form at the minute. Wobbled off in the 55th minute.
Rodrigo Palacio – 6,5: Looked like the Palacio of old: intelligent runs behind Wolfsburg’s defense & out wide to create space for his team. Deserved his goal.
Mauro Icardi – 5: Had 2 shots which Benaglio saved brilliantly. Other than that he was invisible as he waited for a decent cross into the box in vain.
Zdravko Kuzmanovic – 5: Made the worst dive at the San Siro this season when trying to win a penalty. The fact that he’s Inter’s ‘go-to guy’ speaks volumes.
Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5: Came on for Campagnaro & demonstrated why Inter need to strengthen the full-back position in the summer.
Roberto Mancini – 4,5: Got it all wrong today. From the starting line-up to the changes he made as nothing seemed to work. Has a lot of work to do.
Inter – 4,5: Poor performance when it mattered the most. Played like 11 individuals instead of like a team. Another season without Champions League football to look forward to.
Mark Clattenburg – 6: A decent performance by the Englishman & his linesmen. Got a few minor decisons wrong but all major decisions right.
