After the loss of Santon this morning, speculation has begun concerning who will replace the player in defence this evening against Sampdoria. According to reports from Sky, Mancini is thinking of using Joel Obi as a fullback with D’Ambrosio on the opposite end. In the CB position there is a chance that Juan Jesus could be dropped in favour of a Ranocchia-Andreolli pairing.
In front of the defence we will see Brozovic back with Medel and Guarin. Up front Mancini will use Icardi and Palacio.

Rano is seriously protected by the armband… JJ plays 5 bad games and gets benched… Rano plays bad all season (except last 2 games or so) and still is in the starting line up….

I’m not jumping on the JJ bandwagon… I’m happy he’s benched… I’ve commented a few times that andreoli should start instead of rano or JJ (read my previous comments)… but why didn’t rano get subbed after a horrifying season? Why does JJ get the heat after a few games of being awful (from mancio)? Rano is very protected by the armband, no can deny that…
He may be protected my the armband, but over the years he’s put in decent performances. JJ on the other hand has always operated under the excuse that he’s still young. He makes countless errors which everyone ignores. He’s been at inter for almost 4 years now, with minimal improvement.

EXACTLY!!.. It really puzzles me that inter do not use JJ as left back and d’ambrosio can play in the other side. Mancini should know better than to use a midfielder(obi) as a defender.
