It has been a rough ride for Mateo Kovacic under Roberto Mancini thus far. The Croat is currently out of form and has not adapted well to Mancini’s tactics. Today Nikky Vuksan, Kovacic’s agent, spoke to FcInternes.it about Kovacic’s current situation:
Is the problem that Kovacic has been used ineffectively?
“You should ask Mancini. I am not the coach. Now, he is recovering from the injury he suffered against Wolfsburg. His future? He recently renewed his contract two months ago. Nothing has changed in that aspect..”
Is Inter the right club to make Kovacic a top player?
“He signed a contract extension for 5 years which means his future is at Inter. If he was unhappy in Milano, he would not have not signed a renewal. Why does he not play a lot? Mateo is always happy. We do not know when he will return from the injury that he suffered against Wolfsburg. He is a national team player that plays for Inter at 21 years old. I would say that quite good.”
Is there any interest from the Premier League for Kovacic? Are Arsenal interested?
I will not speak about anyone else. He recently renewed with Inter. He is an Inter player, and it will stay that way.
