Inter are said to be in advanced negotiations to bring in Udinese’s Brazilian midfielder Allan. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the clubs are on the verge of agreeing a deal that will see the 24-year old Brazilian move on a loan to Inter initially and then a transfer fee will be paid over several years. The fee will likely land somewhere around €15m-18m.

I think 15-18M is too much for him. Maybe 10-12M should be enough. With 15-18M we can get better player like Hakan Chalhanoglu, Paulinho. With 15-18M there’re also Vietto, Musacchio+Darmian. And with adding 5-10M more we can get Draxler or even Dybala..! XD ;P
Calhanoglu at 18m? Don’t even dream about it. The same I can say of all the names you mentioned above.
From transfermarkt site, Hakan Chalhanoglu price about 16M Pounds, then in Euro I guess it’s around 20-22M. So, it’s just slightly different from the money we use to get Allan :p

Although, it can increased at the end of the season, since he’s doing so well at Villareal now.
For Dybala & Draxler, I know it’s almost impossible to get them for just 20-30M Euro. But, there’re still chances. Let’s Ausilio do his magic… 🙂
Decent player but for 15-18 I think we can get a better player, but given our financials, a loan and several years payments of the transfer fee, I think it is a good deal. Btw is he really 24 years old I though he was younger ?
Allan is hardly an improvement on Medel. To play a formation with high defensive line and high flying fullback, we either have to play with an out-and-out defensive midfielder or world-class centre-halves. Too many times we’ve looked vulnerable against counter attacks. Medel has been doing well, but not physically imposing enough. We know there aren’t many capable defenders out there now. The only one I can think of is thiago silva. Era with defenders like Cannavaro and Nesta is long gone.
That leave us with defensive midfielders that actually like to defend. Someone like, Matic. I don’t think spending 18 on Allan would be wise, when we can probably get proven players such as Thiago Motta or Khedira with the same amount. Having said that, I’ve my doubts on Khedira’s defensive capabilities.
In my opinion Allan is much better than Medel as a defensive midfielder. If you won’t watched him enough, you can check his statistics for interceptions, tackles, etc. He have one of the best statistics not only in Serie A, but in whole Europe. Only thing that’s missing by him same as Medel is more physical presence. Anyway, 15-18 million is too much for him, i think 12-13 is a fair price. If you ask me i like very much Kondogbia, he’s not typical defensive midfielder, but have very serious physical presence, very good passing skills, strong shot and he’s young. But i think that he’ll be more expensive.
I will never understand how people don’t see how good Medel is. As a defensive mid, he is world class. But since he doesn’t have much flair people don’t appreciate him. Allan is coming to play next to him not instead of him.
Ya medel is amazing in his defensive Side.. And he himself admitted that he prefers to be a centre back and not a defensive midfielder which I think he will be so so so much better than rano or jj. Sadly his not tall enough so mancini won’t use them in that position.
Yes, Medel is good and efficient. But world class? I don’t think so. We need someone who can break up play quickly and restart it. Medel is too slow in getting back sometimes. The only way to have Medel in this team is to play less attacking. However, I like how offensive inter is now, lots of one-two, interchanges of passes. We may not have won many games, but we played well. Unlike in the Mazzari’s time.

Never watched Allan for real, I mean, I’ve seen games in which he played but never noticed him. I’m not too optimistic about him, but i won’t judge him before I see him play.
Are you sure? Allan in my opinion is much better than Medel and Konoplyanka is very interesting player. I guess Dragovic or Schar would be better than Ranocchia or Vidic in his current shape.
I heard about Allan at sempreinter podcast (studiointer) and I remember that they were praising this guy… And your point about medel, well I think they are two different players from what I heard. Medel is an extremely defensive minded player, basically a sweeper. However Allan seems to be the more suitable guy for Mancini because of his ball distribution, not sure about his defensive side because to be honest this is what I hear about the player and I have not followed him to be honest.
On the picture he didn’t put Allan instead of Medel. Like I said, I don’t know about him or where would he play. But I think that we need someone better in Medel’s place, he is one dimensional player, just a destroyer, he can’t pass or build-up play, we need someone who can in his place.
Konoplyanka is a good player but if he would play in the play of Shaqiri then he is not improvement, they are players of similar quality. I have to say that I expected more form Shaqiri but there is still time and he is played out of him primary position. We have some good players in the current team but none of them are showing their maximum, I blame the coach for that.
I would have to see Dragovic and Schar in action to see if they are improvement.
But these are of players, except Allan, that have expiring contract’s and no one have signed them yet so I have to question their quality. Usually if there is a good player with expiring contract teams are trying to sign them as soon as possible which means from the first of january. It’s practically april and no one have signed them yet..
I agree that we should try our best to get Konoplyanka, Schär and Dragovic for they are on free transfer. Yaya Toure wouldn’t be effective playing as a DM. If he does come, he’d be a direct replacement for Guarin. To be honest, Yaya coming is not a long term solution and I’d love to see Guarin stay.
