At the moment Yaya Touré seems to only be a dream. This according to Sky who reports that there are no ongoing negotiations by Inter for the Manchester City midfielder. Inter will have to hope that the player wants to join Roberto Mancini and that he is ready to lower his wages to join the Nerazzurri. If the club would succeed in bringing Touré to the club it would be another one in the row of great signings Mancini has done.

I only see him as a Guarin replacement [upgrade]. If we’re unable to sell Guarin for a decent amount of money, it’s useless to think of him. We have other priorities/emergencies…
Have you Inter fans learned yet that inter wastes way too much money on overpaying for midfielders. 20 mill Hernanes + 13 mill Guarin + 13 mill Kovacic + 15 mill Shaqiri + 5 mill Kuz + 7 mill Schelotto for a total of 73 million euros to be in 10th place in a weakened Serie A and you guys want inter to spend an extra 15-18 million for Toure? so that you can go from 10th place to 9th place ?? Compare your midfield to a superior team than Inter and by superior i mean ahead of you in the Serie Standings….let’s pick TORINO ! look at their midfielders: Vives, Benassi, Gazzi, Farnerud, El Kaddouri, Basha…..how do they do it ? THEY RUN !!! Let me tell you what a waste of a purchase Toure is……Juve bought Vidal 11 mill + Pogba 1 mill + Pirlo free + Marchisio Free and for less than the cost of Toure, Juve assembled the best midfield in Italy ! Inter management should Use their brains before their money to improve the midfield or hire Marotta 😉
Hey juBentino, you usually make more sense but now you came up with a lot of crap.
Hernanes costed between 15-18m depending on bonuses – which I’m sure we did not reach 😉 Kovacic was 12m. Guarin was 11m. Shaqiri’s price is good IMO, he just needs to adapt and deliver – has plenty of time, it’s considered an investment. From wiki: Schelotto joined Italian giants Internazionale on 31 January 2013 for €3.5 million plus 50% “card” of Marko Livaja (Inter valued Livaja for €2.5 million but bought him back from Cesena for €1.5 million) – so where did you pull that 7m out of?!
Kuz costed 1m because his contract was expiring, which means we will sell him in profit according to FFP rules. Get your facts right before attempting to troll, as we INTER fans are really demanding 😉
is it still over 50 million invested on a midfield for a team that is in 10th place? and how much is Torino’s midfield worth that is in 7th place ???? and do you think by buying another midfielder it will resolve the problems ? i don’t think so !!!!
I’d buy this guy only for a reasonable price (and for Inter this means 15-18m). otherwise we have other cheaper solutions

Too frickin expensive… we need a full squad reinforcement… not one good signing

Won’t be as exciting if we end up sacrificing Kovacic or Icardi to get him.
I honestly doubt it.

I’m sure Icardi will be kept, but I’m worried for Kovacic. Mancini still has no clue how or where to play him… I guess Handanovic will be sacrificed, let’s hope it will be enough along with the unwanted players like Kuzmanovic and those out on loan.
There’s 9, maybe 10 players that I’d like to see go this summer or that will go anyway:
Handanovic, Ranocchia, Jonathan, Obi, Hernanes, Guarin, Kuzmanovic, Vidic, Campagnaro and maybe Juan Jesus (depending on whether can get both Murillo AND Dragovic (I haven’t counted in those who are already out on loan like Alvarez, Schelotto etc.)
At this point it is very unclear what our capacity will be this summer in terms of new signings. Considering the fact that lots of reliable sources claim that there could be truth to the return of Moratti, combined with the fact that Mancini will probably insist on making a revolution in the squad – Toure isn’t impossible, but Ausilio will have to be better than himself to make all those sales, because without sales we can’t count on good buys. The greatest fear is that this summer our biggest target will end up being a player like Borini, instead of the likes of Jovetic, Yaya, Pedro or Cech.
As for Kovacic, I think we’ll end up keeping him after all (at least I hope so). With the arrival of Toure, Kovacic could play as a regista with Toure and Brozovic in front of him as energetic box-to-box midfielders. Mancini mentioned that Kovacic has “all the qualities to be a good regista” so I guess he has something like this in mind. This goes unless we’re FORCED to sell a good player, in which case both Handanovic and Kovacic could go, because it seems that they want to keep Icardi at all costs.
Ranocchia will be kept, that’s for sure. He’s our new Captain [backed by Materazzi and Zanetti]. He will improve in time just like old wine, italians are like that – some of them are late bloomers. He already plays better with Vidic. I think Juan/Andreolli could be sold if another defender comes in besides Murillo (Dragovic/Schär/Vida/Glik/Zhang).
Handanovic could be the one sacrified, but I’m ok with it if we can still keep Kova… I would also sell Obi but keep Hernanes – his best is yet to come and we could not get much money for him right now… It’s better to keep him and keep tabs on Allan.
Dybala is probably going to juBe, so I believe we will get Jovetic and Yaya. Would have loved to snatch Konoplyanka/Ayew for free, but it seems we cannot match their wage and signing fee.
