There was a meeting held today between Palermo’s top executives and they spoke about the future prospects such as Boca Juniors player, Calleri. He will likely replace the departing Dybala this summer who is known to be a top target for Mancini’s Inter. However, it was revealed in recent days that Juve is in pole position for the player with an offer of 35M Euro’s on the table.

If Thohir is only going to dishing out 60 mil this summer.. it we stupid to buy Dybala for 35 mil.. unless you are able to raise them from parting with some of the existing players…
we need the money for other players in defense and midfield and wings.like pedro
dybala is the most overrated player on earth. the way in which the president tries to inflate his price in incredible, but somehow it works. the kid should even be worth 20mil. i would rate him at 12-15 maybe 20 at most, but then he should really impress when coming in to the team. i feel sorry for the team that buys that guy for more than 20mil. believe me, he will flop big time.
kova need for play.. need time for kova.. dont sell him..
we should go for Calleri and forget about this unproven Zamparini product, he is very young, much cheaper than Dybala and we would avoid dealing with crazy Zamparini in couple of years time
Give them handanovic and 15mil lol
hahahahhaa
Zamperini is such a gold digger
Dybala would be so much better at Inter, more playing time, more growth and definitely more playing time… did I mention playing time? At his age it is vital that he doesn’t warm up a bench and that he continues to proves his amazing talent.
Llorente is leaving Juve and even Tevez might leave, so I don’t think that playing time will be a problem for Dybala. And even in Inter he wouldn’t be guaranteed playing time, just look at Kovacic.
Well how many forwards do we have that can compete?! lol Palacio is not tough competition for a spot when considering Dybala dude.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Mancini bought/loaned some 32 year-old striker who is a personal favorite of his and would play him instead of Dybala who “would need time to develop”. The same happened with Kovacic, who is rotting on the bench while Guarin is shooting at birds for over 2 seasons now.
Dybala is a tough player to get this summer, and I mentioned earlier just hope he would push the deal for inter so zamp would lower his asking price (which again I don’t believe zampirini would do its just my own hopes.
For some reason I find kovacic might have a role next year, I think he just takes time to adapt to a new system of play.. At the beginning mancini played him but he was not really decisive.. Even with mazzari it was the same and kovacic came out and said himself that he needs time to adapt and he started to show his talent beginning of the year but yet crumbles when pressure is mounted on him.. Hands down kovacic is talented but he had many coaches coaching him in the past three years so basically what I’m saying is he will take time to adapt and hopefully he can improve his defensive side and only then mancini would put him as a deep lying playmaker role or central midfielder. Finally i just hope with the summer he will come back stronger and more refreshed.
It’s one thing to give him time to adapt, mate, but completely another to barely ever play him. If he is to grow and fit in, he should be allowed to do so on the pitch.
Mancini cannot be excused with saying that “Kovacic needs time”. Not like Guarin is perfect, even Shaqiri isn’t, but nobody seems to mind that they’re playing more.
The issue with kovacic that mancini and mazzari found, is that he’s not aggressive and decisive with the ball. I’m not saying guarin is good, but even with his inconsistency he pushes the ball and attempts more attacking plays, even tho he loses the ball at times and his passes aren’t that great.. I’m just saying keep an open mind to what I’m saying and try not to focus on what kovacic potential might be rather than what he is right now, don’t get me wrong I love the kid he’s very talented but hes not decisive when he plays.. He had playing time in the beginning and mancini praised him game after game and yet he did not deliver, that’s why he uses him as a sub because I think Mancini wants him to be less calm And lazy, to be more angry and aggressive in order to prove himself in the starting eleven, when kovacic reaches that point I believe his going to be world class.. Also lets leave shaqiri aside he assisted and scored and done much more than expected in him in a new league with a new coach in mid season, in addition his case is a bit different given that he didn’t have much playing time in bayern as well and is not 100% according to mancini.
Though I agree that Kovacic has not been delivering lately, and that he does lack some cynicism and grit in his game, I think the way to allow him to grow is to actually give him time on the pitch (something Mazzarri ultimately did, after which Kovacic grew); this way it seems that there’s frustration in the kid, when he is allowed that little time on the pitch he looks scared and has 0 confidence.
He’s not perfect, far from it, but think how many times Guarin has done stupid things with the ball, leading to counter attacks against us etc. I just think Kovacic deserves as much time on the pitch as Guarin. Not to mention the fact that Mancini is reportedly gonna bench Kovacic for Obi against Milan… or that he has done so for Kuzmanovic in the past – it’s just unreal.
Ya the last part obi/kuz for kovacic it’s just weird thing mancini and mazzari did.. Let’s wait it out and see how it goes.
I read an interesting statement by Pirlo yesterday, who said that he “wanted to prove Inter wrong for selling him.” He did.
I hope the same doesn’t happen with Kovacic. He certainly has the potential.
Ya that was the stupidest move inter made. To be honest as assistant coach I would love to have seen stankovic by mancini side instead of sylvinho or hopefully when cambiasso(when he retires).. It would be nice if he could teach kovacic a thing or two of what it takes to be a champion.
Inter can not spend 30m+ on one single player right now, so there is no point dreaming about him
Better to buy one good player for 30 mil than 5 mediocre.. That’s what got us in this situation.
its a luxury to spend 80% of our budget on 1 player while we need at least 4-5 only for the starting line-up
We’re way back in line among the sides interested in his signature unless Mancini tells him “something nice” to convince him; if he wants to stay in Italy, he’s got Juventus, who are getting rid of Llorente this summer (+ Tevez’s contract is running out next summer), they are also more stable and more successful right now as opposed to Inter where nothing is certain.
If he wants more money than Italy can offer, there’s clubs from England.
We really shouldn’t be counting on Dybala, and considering Zamparini’s character and the hype around the player – we’re probably better off. He might be talented, but he’s currently overpriced (and we can’t afford that) and we don’t have a serious shot anyway.
