Inter are continuing to work on Argentine striker Mauro Icardi’s contract extension according to Gianluca DiMarzio.
While there is no agreement yet, Inter and the player’s representatives continue to try to find a solution that will satisfy both parties.
The hurdle holding the agreement up seems to be the exit clause that the agent wants in the contract. Inter don’t want any exit clause in the striker’s new contract.
The two parties are continuing to work for a conclusion in a saga that is starting to frustrate a lot of fans.

Give him what he wants, hes our top scorer and one of the best players we have in our squad. Vdic and guarin dont deserve to earn that much.
He wants 30M release clause. Thats what our management team dont want to give him.
