A day after Juventus qualified for this year’s Champions League semi final, Sky Sports journalist Maurizio Compagnoni has said they remind him of Inter’s treble winning team of 2009/2010.
“The last time that Italian football was at this level was when Jose Mourinho was at Inter.”
“Right now there are strong teams in Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid left in the competition and it seems difficult for Juventus to qualify for the final.”
“But back in 2010 nobody expected Inter to eliminate Barcelona. Inter played the best game in their history in Milan and all this after eliminating a strong Chelsea team.”

Honoured to be watching all those games live.. if even only in front of the telly.
Chelsea and Barca games makes the final seem like a walk in the park.
All in all, I will cherise the memory of all 5 games…
What a time to be an Interista.. Campioni d’Europa!
Absolutely true. There are some Barsa fans that still claim inter did not deserve to win, that we were too defensive… But the truth is that Inter became champions beating the two favorites, Chelsea and Barcelona. The gave Guardiola’s Barcelona their worst defeat ever, scoring 3 goals. But the world of soccer is full of hypocrites, there is no team more defensive that Atletico de Madrid, but because it is an Spanish team, everybody talks about their mental strength, heart and the speed of ther counter attack…. If we have an italian team playing like that everybody calls it catenaccio, anti-football, football destroyers…
Whi cares what they say. We won 3-1 in Milano and played defensively coz 1. we had an advantage from the first game and 2. the referee sent Thiago Motta off in 30 min because of Busquets drama. Well deserved final!
