Hernanes has been speaking to Inter Channel after last night’s 2-1 win against Roma in which he scored. He’d been waiting for that goal for a while and when it came he wanted to dedicate it to his daughter Angelica and the Inter fans. Here is what the Brazilian had to say:

“I hadn’t scored since October against Napoli. And I hadn’t scored from outside the box so I’m really happy. It felt amazing when I saw the ball hit the net.”

“It’s for my daughter Angelica because I haven’t had the chance to dedicate one to her yet. And it’s also for all the Inter fans as they are always behind us and are so nice to me. They deserved a win and a gritty, determined performance like this. It’s also the 70th anniversary of Italian Liberation Day so I dedicate it to all those who suffered as well.”

The Prophet concluded by speaking about playing in the trequartista role.

“I’ve found a position where I feel really settled now and I want to keep on like this.”
