Roberto Mancini has been talking in his pre match press conference ahead of Inter’s trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio on Sunday 10 May (kick off 20:45 CET).

The Inter coach talked on a range of subjects including the FFP sanctions placed on the club, the match itself and possible Summer signings.

Here is what the tactician had to say:

On the match itself:

“There’s still one thing about my line-up that I need to make a decision on, but in any case all the lads must be ready, even if they start on the bench. They can all have a part to play in these last few games.”

Playing away from home and the threat posed by Pioli’s in form Lazio:

“From a tactical point of view it may be easier for us to play away against a team that tries to play an open game. But nothing beats playing at the San Siro in front of our fans.”

“Lazio are a big test for us. They’re having a fantastic season and they’ll take the battle for second place with Roma down to the wire.”

“As for us, we’ll do everything we can to get into the Europa League. There are 12 points left to play for but even if we don’t qualify it won’t change our future. Inter remain a big club and next season we’ll be challenging at the top. We’re making progress and we’ll keep making fewer mistakes.”

Financial Fair Play:

“UEFA understand that Inter are doing things the right way. I don’t think the settlement agreement will change our transfer plans. We want to build a great team that can get into the Champions League and win things.”

Possible Summer signings:

“I haven’t spoken to Toure. He’s a Manchester City player and obviously we’re not the only ones interested in him.”

“The same goes for Dybala, he’s a great striker and everyone wants him.”

“Thiago Motta helped write Inter history but he belongs to Paris Saint Germain and I don’t think he’s a free agent.”

The form of some of Inter’s players:

“Vidic is an experienced hand and he’s been playing well of late. His fitness has improved too, adding to his experience and quality.”

“Shaqiri isn’t playing at the moment for the simple reason that Hernanes is performing really well and deserves to start. Xherdan got off to a good start with us, then his fitness levels dropped off a bit due to the 25 days he went without playing at Bayern Munich. He just needs time to settle in and get back into top shape again.”
