Inter came away with all 3 points in their outing at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome after having beaten Lazio 1-2 following a brace from Hernanes, first eclipsing Lazio’s lead after a goal from Candreva and then getting the winner int he 84th minute.
Samir Handanovic – 7: Made a few important saves, especially when faced 1 v 1 with Klose & in the first half when Lazio counter-attacked. World class.
Danilo D’Ambrosio – 5,5: Put in a hard shift of work up & down the flank. Crosses were slightly better today but can’t seem to perform consistently for 90 mins.
Andrea Ranocchia – 6,5: Had a very good game, especially in the first 45 where he pulled off a fantastic diving header save to prevent Lazio from scoring.
Nemanja Vidic – 6,5: Is looking more & more like the Nemanja Vidic of old. Cleared the most balls out of all Inter players & led by example.
Juan Jesus – 6: Looks more & more mature & comfortable on the left flank. Hard as nails & with a never-say-die attitude which is important.
Fredy Guarin – 6: Had to be brought off at half-time after he pulled a muscle following his curling free-kick which was brilliantly saved by Marchetti, but looked sluggish & tired before that.
Gary Medel – 6,5: Battles on in the middle of the pitch sarificing himself defensively for the team. Gave away a few unnecessary free-kicks.
Mateo Kovacic – 7,5: This is the Mateo Kovacic we want to see. Looked comfortable on the pitch & linked up brilliantly with other midfielders.
Hernanes – 8: Tonight’s Man of The Match. Looked absolutely brilliant apart from the 2 goals he scored. His passing, craft & vision was magical.
Rodrigo Palacio – 6: Has definitely recovered from his injury in that his movement is back to being top drawer. His backheel pass to Hernanes was sublime.
Mauro Icardi – 5: Didn’t have a good game. Absolutely squandered a sitter in the 1st half & followed it up by kicking an awful penalty kick in the 2nd.
Lukas Podolski – 5: Came on at half-time for the injured Guarin & provided decent crosses with his left foot but his shooting & finishing was woeful.
Yuto Nagatomo – 5,5: Was brought on for D’Ambrosio in the 67th min & immediately gave away an unnecessary corner. Looked rusty & tired.
Marcelo Brozovic – : Came on in the 91st minute for Palacio. Didn’t play long enough to be able to be graded.
Roberto Mancini – 6,5: Has been able to instill a hard work ethic at Inter where the team battles back even when down by a goal. Got tactics spot-on today.
Inter’s performance – 6,5: Winning against a Lazio that has only lost one other Serie A fixture since New Year is impressive. To come back from a goal down and away in Rome and win is even more impressive but the mark is mitigated by the 2 red cards which stopped Lazio from being able to mount a serious challenge.
Davide Massa – 3: Destroyed the match by making one incorrect decision after another. Incredibly picky & ruined the rhythm of the match by constantly blowing his whistle.

you guys are mystic joke, Ranochia rates 6.5 and has good first 45 min!?? for what! causing the Goal, forcing his team mates to shuffle in weird way because the captain is stupid, he is no good, he is rotten tomato and he must go
massa had a 10 rating. icardi’s foul were not a penalty but palacio’s foul was a clear red card. guarin 6? he deserved 6.5 and his freekick was brilliant only for that fish eyed marchetti to block brilliantly. Mancini had us working hard. but tactically spot on? questionable. poldi 4,5 his movement was sluggish, made the whole team slows down in order to accomodate him, which in turns, had all the lazio players returned for defence. Icardi 3.5 – what the hell is wrong with him? trying to blast every shot, skying everything. unbelieveable. if only milito was still here he’d kick the kid into sense. nagatomo 6 imo. what unnecessary corner? he did it to stop keita balde. did you know how fast is that lanky kid? Kova 7.5? fine. then hernanes should get 9. masterfully create chances for icardi, freekick goals, 1vs 3 goals. vision. it’s a no brainer really
Which decision that was incorrect from Massa? First red card? Clear red card in my opinion, he was pulling Palacio..
I hope that we’re not like Juventus fans. I want to be honest and in my opinion the penalty was Icardi simulation, but for the referee it’s not so easy to see that. But when he already gave one red card, first yellow for Marchetti was for protest and you gave penalty, you can continue without second red and nobody will blaming him.
clear simulation by icardi he could not keep the ball so he just looking for the contact with their gk. all match he just crying like a baby and kick the ball with power not with mind and accuracy… one more terrible match by icardi… how many they became??? but in icardi situation he cannot be replaced because we dont have other strikers… we need more killer instinct strikers. for now icardi is just a ballon with air….
Davide Massa should get 10 🙂
Kovacic 7.5…I think I saw a different game…handanovic, vidic and medel were a lot better, even palacio.Don’t get me wrong ,I want Kovacic to succeed but this rating is stupid.
Terrible 1st half and a good 2nd half. My rating for him would be 6.5
goor result
but not good game
we need a DM like thiago motta not like medel
Icardi deserves a 3.5 this match… hope he goes back into form against jube
