News agency ANSA has today reported that Mauro Icardi will sign a new contract with Inter. After months of negotiations an agreement has been found for an adjustment to the striker’s contract and the official announcement is expected next week.
Icardi will renew until 2019 with the Argentine receiving 4M Euro in wages plus bonuses per season. The player’s image rights will be split with Inter owning 50%.
The deal will also see the 22 year old become the highest paid player at Inter.

Well if this news is accurate then Icardi is an idiot if he takes 3 mill and keeps 100% of his image rights he would’ve received much more money, now inter might have 50% of his image rights
Guarin takes 3 and plays well in 1/5 ot the matches. Or doesn’t play at all. Let’s hope the money motivate Icardi to do even better next season. And destroy Juve on Saturday.

Wow I thought he’d settle at 3M. He’s our highest paid player since golden team. If we have 5m from toure as well, Im pretty sure high useless high earning will have to make a way. Most likely guarin though. I think we still need vidic experience and the versibility of palacio upfront.
Damn, not saying that he doesn’t deserve 4M, but that is huge salary for our current standard and a massive rise from his current.
you got Guarin, Vidic and Palacio which all have 3+ million a year and they barely do anything during a game. Icardi is a world class striker who needs better team than the dead weight we have. So 4 million is nothing really lol

Scoring 18 goals in a defensive league at the age of 22 is pretty world class to me. He got more or same goals as Ibrahimovic and Robben. Now imagine Icardi having better midfielders or even players who would deliver the ball properly to him.
Immobile scored about 22 last season if I remember correctly, and he is definitely not world class over at Borussia. Lamela had an amazing time at Roma, flopped in BPL. Being consistant at that level is what makes you world class. If he will be able to win the top Serie A scorer for a few seasons in a row, then we can talk about world class. People throw the word world class around way too often. At current age, he is a very very good prospect and a good player, but not a worldclass player. And IDK where you picked that ridiculous info from, Robben is a winger and scored 17(+7 assits) in 21 games, Ibrahimovič 19(+6 assists) in 24 games while Icardi has 18(+5 assits) in about 31 if I remember correctly?
I couldn’t agree more with you man. People need to understand that he is yet far away from being “world class” let alone compared to Ibrahimovic. Ibrahimovic wins national leagues on his own for God’s sake .
I believe either Palacio or Guarin will leave Inter in next transfer market. I will accept both too 🙂
Palacio will not leave under 2016 he get 3.2m wage are you think he will loose this money? For Guarin i and all of us hope we can get 8-12 m and kick him in the assss!

he does all the dirty horse work upfront, his runs off the ball create the space for icardi and others to get in goal scroing positions. after his disastrous miss in the WC final, i though we’d loose him forever, but he is back; not fully, but getting there. he plays for the team, no bird shooting, unselfishness or over dribbling. he is a hard worker, and without him inter could not have won these last coulpe of games.
as for vidic, he just started proving his worth, a much needed leader in defense, giving handanovic less work to do than he has in all the games prior, and covering the blunders of rano amd jj when they show immaturity and chase after the ball instead of holding their line. now is he worth 3 mil/year? i dont think so, but id rather have him than not.

but please pay attention to palacio’s movement off the ball when you watch a game next time, and realise how lucky we are to have someone who isnt selfish or bitter that he isnt our go to striker anymore
I’m saying he isn’t worth it…he’s worth 3.5 million there are still alot of things that needs to improve in his game before he can be considered world class for example his decision making,I know strikers are supposed to be selfish but sometimes I think he’s a bit too selfish because I’ve seen him assist some goals and if his decision making improves next season I can see him getting about double the assists he has this season.Apart from that he can be a bit wasteful as in game vs juve and game vs lazio.And well that’s the tale for the majority of the inter team,poor conversion rate but the whole team isn’t earning 4 mil + now are they? I have no problem with us paying him the salary though,as long as he steps his game up and become the lethal striker we all know he can be.
Deserves the 4 million per year, even tho he would get paid more at other teams.
