Mattia Perin, followed by Inter as a possible replacement for Samir Handanovic, is apparently close to agreeing to a contract renewal at current club Genoa.

According to reports for ‘Tuttomercatoweb’, the two parties are virtually agreed on everything, missing only the signature which will come at the weekend or early next week.

Perin, whose contract expires in 2017 has been offered a deal until 2019.

It is a timely move from Genoa to avoid interested teams coming in for the Italian international during this Summer’s transfer market. Any future move will have to wait and Perin has already said he would not mind playing at the Marassi for another season.
