Danilo D’Ambrosio has been speaking in an interview for Sky Italia ahead of Inter’s last away match of the season against Genoa.
Here is what the 26 year old full back had to say:
The match against Genoa?
“Genoa will be looking to end the season on a high so it’s going to be a tough game for sure. We’ve been doing slightly better on the road recently but we’re working hard to improve our home form too because we really want to win in front of our fans.”
What do you think about Moratti’s recent comments regarding the team’s lack of character?
“He’s right, we are lacking in certain areas. We’re a young side and we need to grow. We have a great leader in Roberto Mancini and we’re trying to follow all his instructions as best we can.”
You have enjoyed a run in the team lately so have you won the battle with Santon?
“I don’t think I’ve won anything. We just have healthy competition for places and I try to repay the gaffer’s faith in me by giving everything I’ve got for myself and the team. I’m really keen to keep on improving myself as a player.”
“We’re trying to become a better team and win more games. We’ve dropped lots of points and we’re our own worst enemies but we’re working on that too.”
Can Inter still get into the Europa League?
“It won’t be easy on Saturday but there’s only one result open to us and we’ll go all out to get it.”

Let’s see how “Determinate” our players on this very important game… I will def watching the game and from there, if they just lazy, playing like no shit and then i know which player that i will target for bullying in the next 12 months…
Genoa is officially unable to play in EL, so its us, Torino and Sampdoria for the 7th spot that leads to EL. Sampdoria 54, Inter 52, Torino 51. I can’t see Sampdoria losing a lot of points against Empoli and Parma, so we almost certanily need a win against Genoa and Empoli and even then, its not 100% that we qualify. We need to win on our part and hope for Sampdoria to lose 2 points.
Empoli are tough and very hard to score against. Let’s hope they can stall Samp.
Yeah but same goes for us hehe, we play them in the last round.
