Former Inter midfielder Andrea Mandorlini has fond memories of the Nerazzurri. The current Verona coach played for Inter for 7 years. Yesterday at Inter Night, the Italian spoke to Inter Chanel:
“This season has not gone well for many reasons. There were many key moments that turned the tide against us. We lost focus in training, and this negatively impacted us as well. It was a season of transition. The players are good, and they can do well. Who will finish as the top goalscorer? We will do everything to ensure Luca [Toni] wins it. Icardi is young and strong, and he has great qualities. Unfortunately, these strengths are not enough. He must grow and improve, and let the numbers speak for themselves. I hope he does not score in the last match.”

I actually think he’s spot on with what he’s saying here and being helpful to us! As much as I rate Icardi, I have a slight concern that his humility won’t hold out. Let’s hope he continues how he’s be doing, becaise since Mancini’s been at the helm, he seems to be playing more for the team rather than for just himself!
“I hope he does not score in the last match”
Even if you want Luca Toni to win it, that’s not how you phrase that… noone says that.
So because he’s young he doesn’t deserve the title? Wow….
