Very stupid decision!!! Berni is not really a good goalkepper even as back up! Mirante would be ok as back up. Now we will have 3 goalkeepers for Serie A and Coppa. Tottally unnacessery!!!!!! STUPID
well, Carizzo also has expiring contract, rumor said that he’ll be replaced by mirante
and what’s wrong with 3 GK? everyone have 3 GK at least. and I’m sure that Berni salary is very-very cheap.
never fully understood why teams often consider it a necessity to have 3 1st team keepers. surely it’s better to have one in their early 20s and one around 30. rotate them if in enough cups. if 1 gets injured the other plays all games. if both get injured (very unlikely) play an academy keeper until an emergency reinforcement can be got if needed
despite all that, agreeing a new contract knowing he’ll sit on the bench at best for a whole new season is commendable
he’s an extra keeper for the training sessions.
you don’t need a 3rd FIRST-teamer for that!! use an academy keeper to give them experience of training with the big boys
Good. He’s loyal
Yes!
