Tuttosport report on Samir Handanovic’s contract talks and the situation in general between the Inter sticks.
It seems that an agreement has finally been reached between the two parties. The Slovenian’s camp wanted €3 million per season while Inter’s request stood at €2.5 million. A meeting has been found in the middle at €2.7 million with a further €300,000 in possible bonuses.
With the goalkeeping situation all but cleared, Mancini can focus on other areas of the pitch.
Third keeper Tomasso Berni has renewed for another year, and Antonio Mirante looks set to take Juan Pablo Carrizo’s place as the vice-Handanovic.

What do you think? Comment below!

If Handanovic leaves, I hope that Ausilio and Mancini would take a gamble and just GO for Francesco Bardi as the firstkeeper next season. Then maybe he fails big, or not. We won’t have anything to lose on it. As we aren’t going to fight for Scudetto, and possibly not CL-spots next season either.
What!!?? so right off the bat you don’t want us to fight for Scudetto or CL spot?
I frankly don’t believe we will be fighting for the Scudetto next year no. There is just too many holes in this team to be fixed in one summer. But we now have a good groundbase atleast, with Mancini, Kova and Icardi. As for the second or third position (which will give us CL) I can maybe see us being in the race for it, as we hopefully will improve our game from this springs performances, but in the end I think that Roma and Lazio will be better teams than Inter next year too. Napoli also has so much potential with their team.
So, yes my best hopes for next season would propably be 4th-5th. Call me pessimistic, but this is the situation as I see it. Hopefully I will be terribly wrong!
Berni over Bardi/Carrizo—wtf? every keeper is going to be over 30 next year… seems kind of silly to me. top teams nowadays are going for 1 young keeper and 1 established 1—Barca, Atletico, Chelsea, Man Utd. Madrid and Bayern each have 1 established 1 under 30 and 1 established but fading 1 over 30. all mentioned club keepers are internationals at their level. Handanovic fits the bill for us. Bard would. Bernie, Carrizo and Mirante don’t—keep 1 as the third keeper…….. keeping Handanovic, Bardi and Carrizo would be the cheapest and probably wisest option.
approve but i dont think we need berni…but if the salary is low no problem …
he’s also primavera team coaach if im not mistaken
He’s super popular in the locker room too, apparently everyone loves him.
Well, at this Stage don’t really need Berni because he was one of our home grown players for UEFA competitions.
At least now we’ll have a good 2nd keeper. It seems that it is becoming common for top teams to have 2 good keepers. Casillas and Navas. De Gea and Valdes. Reina and Neuer. Bravo and Stegen etc
competitive squad depth is one of ‘a must’ if you’re aiming for titles. one thing that we don’t have at this moment.
