Reports in France however claim the Tunisian is also being tracked by English Premier League trio Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Why did I have to read the comments on several posts to understand how the negotiations for Benatia went. We’re all grown people, we can take bad news.
I am not impressed by Mancini. He has not improved as a coach. Many players like him so he may be a good GM. He has asked for ridiculous targets (Yaya Toure, Mehdi Benatia, etc). These are a stupid pipe dream wasting resources when the focus should be on 3-4 starters that will all be gone before long (Schar, Nastasic (last transfer period), Dragovic, Allan, Bacca). Everytime Inter is rejected for top class while Napoli and Milan swoop in and skim the best of the rest (Allan, Kongdobia, Bonaventura (last transfer period)). In the end seems Inter will lose a lot of dead weight (expiring contracts) but also not get the reinforcements needed to improve substantially.
