Udinese midfielder Allan Marques has been linked with Inter, Juventus, and Napoli in recent weeks. Today, Udinese’s sporting director, Christian Giaretta, spoke to ANSA about the Brazilian’s future:
“He [Allan] is an Udinese player. I never said that he has requested a move to Inter or another team. Someone was obviously putting words in mouth.”
Giaretta was referring to the fact that reports stated that Allan would join Inter in exchange for cash plus Assane Gnoukouri. The sporting director was simply praising the Nerazzurri’s youth set up.

yeah inter way to go. offer a promising gnoukouri as well. but hey, who needs young prospects?
Gnoukouri is only at the beginning of his career and nobody really knows if he’ll grow, despite the enormous talent he has and the good performances he put in this past season.
Allan is a complete player already, and is very young himself. Was one of the best players in the league this season, as shown especially in the game where Udinese played with 8 players against us and the guy slapped around our midfielders with ease on his own.
He is also more versatile as he can play as a DM, a MC, a MR and an AMC (depending on the system).
All due respect to young Gnoukouri (I was thrilled at how well he handled the ball considering his age), but if we want any progress – we need to rely on guys like Allan, because if we don’t have a proper first team to start with, Gnoukouri will never blossom into the player he is supposed to be. There’s too much pressure for a guy like him to grow at Inter anyway.
We can only hope we get Allan, but I think we won’t anyway.
yes. you got a very good point there. allan seems to have done an excellent job this year. i guess I’m just frustrated with the lack of progress inter has been showing:/
a good thing though is that mancini and ausilio already are active trying to find new players. if the core players are in place early a whole summer of preparations should be good for the team
Please come to PAPA, ALLAN
