Stevan Jovetic has repeatedly stated his pleasure at being linked with Inter and his desire to return to Italy. Manchester City would be willing to do a deal due to the player’s incompatibility with coach Manuel Pellegrini and the English club’s desire to bring in a new striker.
What is it that is holding back the landing of the Montenegrin at Inter? Well according to reports from TuttoSport, there is hesitation from Roberto Mancini as he would like a winger with the aim of playing a 4-2-3-1 formation.
However any Inter operation could be advantageous from an economic standpoint due to the 25 year old’s relationship with Pellegrini.
Inter could move to do a similar deal to that of Xherdan Shaqiri who was brought to Milan in January. That is a loan costing 1-2M Euro with the right of redemption or obligation to buy in Summer 2016.
Jovetic was acquired by City in 2013 for 26M Euro plus 4M in bonuses and signed a contract until 2018 so if Inter did take the player on loan for a season that would leave the player with 2 years left on his Manchester City contract.
It is thought that if this were to happen then City couldn’t demand a figure more than 12-13M Euro for the striker.
