According to Gazzetta dello Sport Inter has found an agreement with Kondogbia based on a five year contract worth 4 million euro’s and bonuses every season. Gazzetta dello sport also reports that Inter will pay Monaco about 30 million euro’s together with bonuses.

I have no doubt we needed this player and that he’s one of the most promising talents in the world right now and has the potential to become world class in a really short time, but damn that’s a lot of money we’re paying for him. I can’t even remember the last time we gave so much for a single player. I hope Thohir knows what he’s doing.
His playing style is the same as Patrick Viera, am I right?
There are similarities. His dribble is maybe as good as Kovacic’s. But he’s also very strong defensively and can regain a ball from the opposition pretty quickly. His physique is pretty formidable and his heading abilities are good. If he continues improving he can be the next Viera.
We already get Murillo, Kondogbia, Miranda?, Imbula?,motta? and biabiany.. Now we need a good fullback, speedster winger and one more dangerous and fast attacker like samuel eto,o when he was in prime then we can fight for scudetto or at least 3 spot
Read alot of the comments by some of the inter fans here while some made sence others were ridiculus. Kovacic will now be sold, no doubt about it. Some here wanted Mancini head during the season but what they failed to realise is that at this point in time Mancini is the best coach for inter and management have no choice but to trust him to build a great inter.
Mancini is right for inter for 3 main reasons; he knows the italian league, knows inter better than any other coach as he spent 6 months with this team and he got international appeal which set him apart from Milan new coach in getting Kondogbia. 7 players who walked into the 1st team every game will now be bench warmers as they deserve to be. They are Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, Vidic, Guarin, Brozovic, Medel and Palacio.
Mancini is going to play a 4-2-3-1 formation and he now has the players to play this position. Just need a second striker like Salah or Jovetic.
But, instead of Kovacic, Inter may sell Guarin and Hernanes!!!!

To fund these 2 purchases they would have to sell kovacic, plus i dont see him fitting into the formation.

Thats true, but they need to sell if they need to purchase a partner for icardi and a right back where we only got D’Ambrosio. Plus selling Guarin, Nagatomo and Andreolli will only bring back small revenue, but selling Kova for 25 million will only ease the debt

I read somewhere that, since Inter next year is not playing European Cup, FPF has to not be considered, or at least it’s less limitating . Obviously it’s VERY important to reach top3 next season, to have the 40Mln Euro coming from UCL

If Imbula comes (which I seriously doubt) then Kova will once again be moved upfront, I guess that Mancini will work with him whole summer to get him to understand that position.
Inter management really (finally!) wants to create strong Inter, Kova’s sale doesn’t fit in that project.

Miranda was one of the key players that took Atleti to the throne of the spanish league. 30yo is not old for a CB, especially in Serie A. And no, we don’t have awesome MIDs and ATKs. We have Kova, maybe Hernanes, and in front Icardi, but except for them, we are lacking quality. Medel is a useful player, and I like him, but all alone he can’t handle the midfield’s defense. Admit it: Palacio, Guarín and Brozovic etcetc just not enough if we want to fight for the CL spots.
The fact they were pretty good than our CB’s, just admit it. But don’t compare them to Barca’s level..
I didn’t compare to Barca’s level, I compared them to what I think Inter’s level is. But the problem is that these mediocre players made Inter’s level very-very low nowadays. We should sell the junk, and buy quality and I think compared to, Rano for example, Miranda is way better. 🙂

the problem is that we are lacking quality defenders and fullbacks , ss, winger and we spent almost all of our transfer budget on these two midfields……..they are good but we have more big problems than midfield right now…

we already signed two center backs, who are both big improvements on ranocchia, JJ and vidic. CB is sorted. we need one good fullback, because Santon is decent and can play on both sides, and we need a winger.
