Fcinter1908 interviewed Geoffrey Kondogbia’s agent Paolo Schiavone who had many interesting things to say about the negotiations that brought Geoffrey Kondogbia to Inter.
Inter won a very difficult mercato duel and as it seems it wasn’t only Milan, Inter competed with:
“Exactly, Geoffrey is a player of the highest class and there were Champions League-clubs who were interested in him. There were offers from Spain, England and Italy and in Italy it wasn’t only Inter and Milan who were interested in him.”
What did Inter tell him to convince him?
“The player is affascinated by the project that Roberto Mancini proposed to him.”
There are some who claim that Kondogbia went to the club that offered the most…
“This is all false, Kondogbia wanted to join Inter and to go there he accepted a lower offer, he would’ve made more money at Milan. It was never a question about money. Geoffrey wanted a project and he found it at Inter.”
Was Mancini important?
“Mancini is a great coach and Kondogbia is convinced that he will become a lot better with Mancini as coach.”
Is the player happy now?
“He is very happy and I want to thank all the fans for how they welcomed him. He can’t wait to start wearing his number seven shirt.”

Players like him are the one ones who make an Interista proud. But they are few and far between. Everybody has a reason to join a club. With Mourinho players gave their all to the Inter shirt but after he left many felt disheartened. The rest are mercenaries. I still can’t forgive R9 my favourite ever player for choosing Real Madrid. When a player feels he is at home he will fight for the club. Maybe that is what the Rubentini mastered about players. They took Pogba who was unhappy at Man Utd, but Rube offered him everything so he came free. I still can’t understand why Lucio our great defender that Mourino moulded decided to join Rube. The coach is very important. I am really hoping Mancini will have his ‘team’ this year. One of the reasons why I believe Man Utd became so famous was cos of Sir Alex who was never sacked but given plenty of chances to build a system. It took him a while but after that it was all glory..Inter should never buy players who have doubts and second thoughts and who are mercenaries..We need Inter to be the top..the best possible
