La Gazzetta dello Sport has been reporting on the pending contract renewal of Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia.
The newspaper reports that pending the statement and press conference, the central defender has signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri.
The contract renewal was deposited to the League and will see the 27 year old tied to Inter until 2019. Announcement of the renewal is expected soon.

This is excellent news for the Bianconeri fans…..you can put Ranocchia on Barcelona and they wouldn’t win anything just imagine him with Inter for another 4 years !!
Ranocchia is our captain. He is our best center back at the moment. If Inter management does not bring a CB better than Rano, contract extension is inevitable for Rano. This is reality. Just face it
Lol actually contract extension was inevitable because no other team wanted him…he was out of a contract for a while but nobody bidded but you’re right when you say he’s the best CB atm…not too sure if Vidic just edges him out but at his best Rano is half decent…with mancini working with him and pairing him up with miranda then who knows what next season awaits..but do not be fooled he is the weak link of inter.

P.S. the only reason he is now being selected to the national team is because Conte coached him before at Bari where he made a solid pair with Bonucci but look at where Bonucci is and look at where Rano is.. idk how these coaches still keep faith in him

I honestly think that was the problem with him. He looks good nationaly because of the partner he is with. He needs someone smart and in charge. Miranda may be that defender. 27….he is tall, he has decent speed and he decently strong. He may yet do well. A good defender next to him. He just needs to be smarter.he even played well for long periods of time. His downfall is that he has one horrible lapse in concentration and it’s a goal. Let’s hope a summer with Mancini and miranda as his partner can turn him into what we hoped he would be

Lol ok yea I mean he has decent speed for his height. Most 6 foot 4 cb are about his speed so I was just kinda stating it as a thing. He does indeed get outpaced by many forwards. His concentration is what kills him. But Mancini said he was gonna make him sweat this summer and his mentality will get better with age (I hope) and Zanetti decided to hand the armband to him. Sooo if it was not for these factors I would have given up on him a long time ago but again I will hold our hope and have faith that Mancini can work some magic….also he does play well in the national team.
