Sky has been reporting on sensational transfer rumours regarding a move for Inter’s Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri to the English Premier League with Stoke City. The reports say the surprising transfer has been talked about for the last few days.
Apparently Inter and Stoke City have reached an agreement for the player for an outright fee of 17M Euro.
It remains to be seen what the player’s intentions are and if he wants to accept this new solution. Stoke will investigate the availability of Shaqiri, who could leave Inter just six months after arriving in Serie A.

Would be a stupid decision. Shaqiri can still grow into a great player. Inter should rather sell Guarin, Ranocchia or Dodo to get some money. With that money they can buy/sell Cuadrado/Jovetic/Mertens.

Why would Inter think that Shaqiri would even consider such a deal. At Inter he has the chance of European football within the next few years with a great team being built. At Stoke he would need to wait at least until.. well forever actually. This periods name should be changed from Silly Season to MoronicIdioticSeason.

This news was confirmed by number 1 transfer guru – Di Marzio, but last news on fcinternews said shaquiri doesn’t want to leave and said no. Reading the news regarding Jovetic, Shaquiri and Suarez mean only one thing – Mancini would like to play 4 3 1 2 with three strong combative midfielders such as kondogbia medel suarez and jovetic behind palacio and icardi. Mancini will sign one back up striker as well. Kovacic will be on the bench I think, if not sold. I don’t know yet whether this is a good strategy or the 4 2 3 1 strategy was better. What do you think guys ?

I don’t know whether we will be better with 4 3 1 2, 4 3 3 or 4 2 3 1. What I know and prefer is that we have midfield consisted of 2 dmc and 1 creative player type mc – as kovacic.
What I can say is that many teams have succeeded under 4 3 1 2 , latest example is Juventus. It is a formation which provides security/ stability to the team. I personally think that we should play 4 3 3 but in order to do this we need 2 of Salah/Cuadrado/Perisic/Mertens and keep Shaquiri as substitution player to the listed players above. As a conclusion if we get Jovetic, we will not play 4 2 3 1 or 4 3 3.

This is rather stupid if it happens. The only situation in which I could see this in some kind of logic, is that Mancini wants to play 4-3-1-2 and we are close to signing a striker. But with the recent rumours, it seems we are in to buy a winger. Selling Shaqiri and then buying 2 new wingers would be quite retarded. Keep him, buy Perišić/Salah/Cuadrado/Mertens and play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

Shaqiri is naturally a winger and CAM is his secondary position. Hernanes is a born CAM and if we played in 4-2-3-1, its no doubt the best setup would be Hernanes in the middle of the supporting attacking trio and Shaqiri on the right.
No! Shaquiri best position is behind the strikers, like he was played in Basel and like he’s now playing in Switzerland national team. Guardiola was trying to made winger form him in Bayern, but that’s not his best position.
