Inter managing director Marco Fassone has been speaking in an interview to Sky Italia today from Inters pre season training camp in Brunico, where he has talked about subjects including the club’s transfer business, Inter’s potential ownership of the San Siro and Gary Medel’s recent success at the Copa America.
Transfer market:
“As a club, we’re doing our best to create the ideal conditions for everyone to work in. There are another 50 days to go before the transfer window closes and we’re only halfway there. We’re working on the areas where we’re still a bit short, such as up front.”
” We’re happy with things in midfield and defence but our squad is too big so we need to work on outgoing transfers too. Sadly we’ll have to let some people go because there’s a new rule in place and we can only register 25 players. Our priority is to bolster our attacking options. Podolski has left and he has to be replaced.”
The recent controversy surrounding Mohamed Salah and Fiorentina:
“We weren’t happy with the way it was handled. Now we’re waiting to see how it will all end.”
Potential ownership of the San Siro:
“We’ve worked together with AC Milan on this. We’re looking to make substantial investment to ensure that Inter can have their own home. Two club-owned stadiums would make they city of Milan something of a forerunner.”
And finally, Gary Medel’s success in lifting the Copa America:
“He played loads of games in June and did superbly at the Copa America. He remains a key member of our team.”

I don’t understand, are we still sharing the stadium? Because I read somewhere that Milan got green light to build a new stadium? Or is that wrong?
they will build a new stadium, but it should be ready for the 2018/19 season… we will decrease meazza’s capacity down to 60 – 65 000 (third tier will be re purposed to restaurants, bars…)
aaaah good for business
Hope we can renovate Meazza with lower cost (than new stadium). Make it modern and beautiful!
How I love Fassones open approach to these interviews. Perfect with a guy who isn’t affraid to let people know what the club is thinking.
Giuseppe Meazza is our home. San Siro is the name BBilan fans use.
you are wrong. the stadium name is Giuseppe Meazza in a neighborhood called San Siro.
milan fans call it san siro because meazza was a legend for inter…
And he also played 1 season with Milan…
when he died he actually said that was one of his greatest regrets IIRC
There is no place I’d rather be than home (San Siro). However, the home needs to be improved in every corner.
