Preparation under way in Brunico for Inter’s Mancini for the upcoming season and Di Marzio has reported the latest on Inters mercato. Xherdan Shaqiri has said yes to a move to Schalke 04 and will look to join the German side over the next couple of days with the negotiations close to completion. With this sale Inter will focus on Ivan Perisic, the first choice to replace the former Bayern Munich player. Ausilio will be in contact and try to close the deal with Wolfsburg in the next 24-48 hours for the arrival of the Croatian.

This is one player we shouldn’t get rid of. it doesn’t make sense to get rid of one winger and buy two rather than buying one. And it still doesn’t resolve the issue of to many players on the team. If we are going to get rid of him then we should wait until its confirmed we have Perisic or whoever before we let him go and don’t get anyone. Biabany would make a good backup but not a starter. Shaqiri and Perisic on the wings would be great and save more money than selling one and buying two.
Only thing that bothers me in this deal is the way we treat our players. Shaq never really lived up to the expectations (also sit alot on the bench, I don’t know why). He might be better next season but then again if someone needs to go and we can’t offload Guarin and co. then so be it.

Just to put things into perspective, Andros Townsend is gonna be sold for 15 mil pounds, which is about 22 mil euros. Shaqiri leaving for less is an insult and disappointment for us fans.
Contrary to popular beliefs, I feel Shaqiri best position is as an attacking mid. He’s not very fast but he makes clever passes, great shots and always seems threatening, much like Hernanes. He’s much younger. Moreover, Shaqiri is more adept to playing on the wings than Hernanes. With all due respect to Hernanes, keeping Shaqiri seems like a better piece of business than keeping Hernanes. Hernanes is rather ineffective as a centre mid as well. I love Hernanes, but if we’re to sacrifice someone in this endeavour, Hernanes seems like a more logical choice. I don’t believe there are no clubs out there that will be interested if we put him on the market. He’s a very good player after all.
Hernanes is a very good example. Inter brought him in for ~20m and he didn’t deliver for quite some time. he started to show his worth and perform consistently in the 2nd half of last season – after all, Shaq chose Inter instead of money, that’s a rare thing in today’s football, he deserves a 2nd chance aswell
English players are overrated in Premier League. They are sold for big amount of money in domestic transfers. Thats how you keep the money in the country and prevent other clubs in europe profiting from huge transfer wages. The whole PL is a big commercial joke of a show. If we look at at technical aspects, then obviously are the spanish legaue, serie A and bundesliga above PL, espcially if you look at the performance of English teams last season in EL and CL.

But then again, 12m for Kuzmanovič and Santon to Watsford sounded really nice, especially if we could sign a new fullback. Let’s approach this matter in an objective scientific manner:
Guaro: runs and runs, fights to get the ball. He also was clutch for a good number of games this season. Guaro can use both feet and can both dribble and pick out a pass. Guaro can play in any position in midfield and attack. He does waste shots and has been inconsistent but on average he has been decent. His moment of brilliance have won games for us.
Shaq: can only sprint and hit the ball hard with his left foot. He failed at AMF and can only play as a winger… on top of that he’s a winger that can’t cross the ball. He made an impact for the first 2 games then by game 3 everybody figured his extremely limited playing style out.
So in summary:
Shaq’s football IQ makes Alvaro Perreira’s look like Cuchu’s. Better we sell him now then see him drop in value cutting lemons on the sidelines and stuffing his arse on the bench w kebops.
Limited player in the most tactically intelligent league.
Conclusion: He’s a nice guy and I want to see him happy in the Bundesliga/Premiership. Nothing personal Shaq and all Shaq lovers but if you can’t see it.. I can;t make you see it. Just like some people can’t tell the diff between a Chateau-neuf du pape and a ‘house’ red.

Ambrose is our weakest from that group. Dodo has the most potential and naga is just rediscovering his shape. Naga can be great when in shape. Santon has improved but is still weak in defense. Our prob is none of those can defend well unless we play jj chivu style but chivu had technique, passing range, positioning and a good cross. JJ shluld be loaned to genoa. Santon and dambrosio should be sold. Keep naga dodo and montoya and we are set. Rano can operate at rb and he already likes to bomb forward.
