Mancini’s mistake to purchase the player and then give him little faith… But for us Inter fans… Selling Shaqiri and getting Perisic is a much better deal… Perisic is a much better winger than Shaqiri

Matthaus blasted Inter for their treatment of Shaqiri. But then went on to say that the reason they sold him was because Pep does not like player who are tactically incompetent. Well, I bet that’s exactly why Shaq is being sold. I would like to keep him because he has interesting characteristics and is a good lad, but of management has understood that Perisic would be more adept to Serie A and we do not have funds to have both then I guess so be it. I’m sad Shaq is leaving but I guess I can understand why it is being done.

Inter has given time and chances for the likes of Rano, Johny, etc. to settle and find their rhythms. But only few months to Shaqiri, who came with almost no match, to make a difference. That’s just plain unfair.
I guess this is happening because Shaqiri is indeed a very potential player that attracts clubs. In Rano and Jonathan cases, who dares to buy Lords? The club def wants to sell them if they could, but there are simply no club that wants them.
Agree. One thought though, seeing how Hernanes did not play at his best when he first joined, but now really shining. I wonder if we should be patient with Shaqiri just a little bit more.
Yea but hernanes is a playmaket whos good with both feed + head. Shaq has pace and lower and only has a left leg and a head good for eating kebabs. Good point about the strengths of Hernanes. But I’m not comparing players, specifically, but of treatment. What I meant was that Hernanes who came at relatively same price at Shaqiri and better match condition was given chance to prove his worth, while Shaqiri did not.

I guess the financial situation affects these 2 different decisions. Liverpool has more money than Inter and they actually do not need to sell, therefore they can set high prices (too high sometimes!) for their valuable assets and reject any offers below their standard. Not to mention, previous Sterling’s salary in Liverpool was not that high, so it wouldn’t be a problem should they needed to freeze him and put him on the reserves team for the whole season. Inter, on the other hand, has this FFP thing. They need to sell first, before buy. And it seems Wolfsburg is not interested in the ‘Inter Formula’, so they would expect straight cash. Therefore Inter is in a condition where they need to sell fast and accept any reasonable offer. I hope Serie A in general will get better soon, so our club will attract more sponsors and higher TV deals.

For me myself, the ideal world would be keeping Shaq and getting Perisic as well, so everyone is happy. And we don’t need to spend more huge cash on getting either Jovetic or Salah. If we still need one more forward/winger, we can look for cheaper solution. Serie A used to be the best league in the world. It will reach the top again, hopefully in the next 5 years 🙂

I prefer De Bruyne than Perisic.. De Bruyne is the best replacement for Shaqiri.. Perisic not better than both..
