He will turn 27 years old next Sunday and as a Birthday present could get the call from Inter. After refusing to join Watford, Diego Perotti hopes to stay in Italy and move to a top club.

Following him for some time has been Napoli but given the complications for the other tracks (from Perisic to Salah), the rumours are now linking the player to Inter.

The Gazzetta dello Sport has been reporting on the situation in their morning edition.

We know why the Argentine isn’t the first choice. Its obvious that at the top of the list are Salah, Perisic and Jovetic but for one reason or another they are full of complications.

Inter have expressed their interest in a concrete way to Enrico Preziosi. Ausilio and Fassone have exposed the plan explaining how and when they are hoping to move for the player.

If they were to skip two of the three names just mentioned then Inter would go all in for Perotti. The formula is always the same: loan sale with a mandatory redemption.

Genoa are believed to want around 15M Euro but that would be too high for Inter who plan to pay 1M for a season long loan plus 10M to make the deal permanent.

President Preziosi is expected to soften his stance on the price as Genoa accepted a bid of 10M Euro a few weeks ago from the Pozzo family to take Perotti to Watford but the player declined as he is convinced he can get a better proposal in Italy.

Napoli are also interested with president De Laurentiis showing concrete interest in the race for the Argentine.
