Inter’s new Brazilian defender Miranda, has been speaking to Inter Channel after making his debut in Inter’s pre season friendly against Galatasaray. Inter lost the match 1-0 thanks to ex Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder’s second half goal.
Here is what Miranda had to say about his first Inter match:
“There’s a lot to improve upon but it was only the first match.”
“We have a lot quality and we’re working to gradually build a great team. I’m delighted to represent a big club like Inter. It gives me great pride and I will always give my all for this team, with hard work and dedication.”
“There’s no such thing as an unfair result in football, it’s down to us to work to improve them. We’re preparing for the league season and we’re aware there are things we do well and other things we have to improve.”

Captain material for sure.
I have to admit that seeing this guy playing made me realize I had forgotten how a good solid center back should play (in Inter colors). He and Murillo are excellent. The problem is still the full backs.
In the first goal Real Madrid scored against us, Murillo looked bad, but I was not his fault. JJ did not cover his side, so Murillo tried to compensate covering the center and the man of the right. In the Galatasaray goal, some people can say that Miranda was beaten by the Podolski, but he did the right thing, he stayed with the man he was covering on the side of the pitch. The problem was Santon who did not cover for him in the box, so Sneijder had an eternity to calmly pick his shot.
Also, I like Miranda leadership, he was yelling at people and giving directions in his first game. WOW!
