Inter’s Brazilian playmaker Hernanes, has been speaking in an interview to SportMediaset from Inter’s training camp in Brunico where he sees a bright future at Inter.

Hernanes sees Inter as a team on the up despite some pre season defeats and expects a good campaign with the help of the new signings that have joined in the transfer window so far.

Recent results haven’t been great but Hernanes insists there’s no cause for concern:

“I see a team that’s growing all the time. I think it’s going to be our year more than my year.”

“It’s all part of the process of growth. We’re working to get better. It’s not about beating other teams at the moment but on improving ourselves.”

Do you think your compatriot Miranda’s arrival could be an opportunity for both of you to repeat past glories?

“I played with Miranda at Sao Paulo from 2007 to 2010 and we were room mates. We enjoyed success there together and I hope we can now repeat that here.”

Your thoughts on the possible arrival of another Brazilian in Felipe Melo?

“He would be a great signing if he joins, though I haven’t played with him much before and I don’t really know him very well, unlike Miranda.”

Finally, Hernanes restated his determination to win at Inter:

“I want to stay at Inter and help this club be successful. I’m sure that if we go into every game as if it were a battle, in the end we can win the war.”
