After the two losses yesterday against Milan and Sassuolo, Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio talked about the mercato. Ausilio confirmed Inter’s interest in Perisic and openly said that a player will arrive to reinforce the attack of the team since Shaqiri has left:
“We have been clear about Melo from the beginning and at the moment we have enough midfielders. We need to sell first, then we can think about the rest. For Perisic we won’t hide, we like him and we are following him. The negotiations are there but at the moment we have different visions, especially about the way to pay for him, but we’re working on it.
Though I can tell you that we will surely sign a new player for the attack because we sold Shaqiri. For the other parts of the team it’s easy to understand, we need to sell because the squad is full.”
Ausilio also commented on the friendly games:
“I’m not worried at all about these friendly games.”
