Although Stevan Jovetic has already featured in several friendlies already scoring 1 goal, he hadn’t been presented as an Inter player until now when he has been officially unveiled as an Inter player during a presentation at the San Siro.
Jovetic rejoins Roberto Mancini who signed him to Manchester City where he never really fulfilled his potential. “Stevan has been with us now for several weeks, there’s no need for many words. He strongly expressed his desire to return to Italy and we hope that he will have a future rich with victories both for him and Inter” Marco Fassone began the pressconference with.
“My favorite number is number 8 but when Kovacic left i opten on the number 10 shirt and I know that it’s a big responsibility. We’ve been working very well ever since I got here, the friendlies have helpes us a lot although the results haven’t gone the way we want. We are ready and we can’t wait to get back out on the pitch.”
Jovetic was asked to give his thoughts on his partnership with Mauro Icardi: “He’s a great player, he’s scored a lot of goals. The relationship is good, it will only get better as time goes along. The pressure is always there but I have no problems with that. The years I’ve spent in England have helped me grow a lot, I’m much stringer now mentally and I will show this on the pitch.”
“My role? I can play in all roles up front, I’ve spoken about this with Mancini. I like playing as a second striker but I will adapt to any role. City? My experience with them helped me alot, it made me see who I really am. I’ve spoken with Ausilio and the coach and they have made me see that there’s a great project here.”
“I have come here and I know that the fans expect a lot from me, i don’t want to promise any numbers but I know that I will score a lot of goals and make many assists. The derby means a lot to the fans but I hope to do well already against Atalanta. Mancini? He spoke to me about the project and influenced my choice to come here.”
“I spent 5 years in Florence and I expect a warm and nice welcome from them. I love the people there, i always follow them and I know they appreciate that. Third place? We can reach it. If new signings arrive they will be very welcome. The other teams are strengthened, we hope for the best. I hope that more players arrive, all teams need reinforcements, so do we. If Real Madrid and Barcelona sign players then we have to as well.”
At least far better than Podolski in club level. Hard to see Jovetic at City, but hope to see a new and better Jovetic at Inter. Good luck boy

I think he has been an underrated signing. There are plenty of guys who have sat the bench in England and went back to excelling in other leagues. He was a beast before he left Italy and hopefully he can return to that form. If so, what a great signing.

So, if part the mercato shxt is real, which is likely not the case, and we get Perisic and Perotti, would it be a good idea to use them as wide attackers and Jojo as a trequartista behind Icardi? What do you guys think? I think he has the quality to do well in that position, Hernanes seems to be getting slower and slower by the minute.
Of vourse jovetic can play there. Jojo is a 9 1/2 style player. Ideal as trequarte or second striker
somehow, i can smell the swap idea between hernanes and balotelli, with inter in favor for the cash.
Balo is getting lazier on the pitch these days. But I’m afraid this deal could potentially happen as a last minute swap. No more panic buys please, Inter. And btw, losing both Hernanes and Kovacic without creative-minded replacement would be terrible thing for us
