Maurizio Compagnoni was interviewed in Sky Sport 24 studio when he commented on Inter’s squad now when the championship starts tomorrow (read today, saturday).
“Inter had to earn some money in this transfer window after other investments. The Nerazzurri directors had two important names to chose from, Mauro Icardi and Mateo Kovacic, and the decision went on the Croatian midfielder as an offer entered. Right now it seems that Inter made the right choice”.

No, it wasn’t the right choice and that’s more than obvious! The reason because Kovacic is now out of the club have a name and this is Mancini. His ridiculous demands and promises, that we will have Champions League spot at any cost led us to sell Kovacic and Shaquiri. Why we signed Kondogbia for 35 million, if we will have to sacrifice Kovacic, Shaquiri and other players for that? And what should to happen to see Guarin, Ranocchia, Vidic, Dodo, etc. transfered somewhere else?
The only thing that makes me to believe that to sell Icardi would be better is that he
He is most replaceable player than Kova. There were some good forwards in the market that could score some amount of goals for the team, like Dzeko, Bacca etc. Players with Kova characteristics are not available on the market for us. Also i believe that Icardi will not score 20 and more goals this season. Last year he was alone with Palacio out of form. This year there will be Jovetic + new player ( probably Perisic ) and of course Palacio again.
Now if we would have got rid of both I would have died inside
At this moment Icardi is more important than Kovacic for Inter. Time will tell which one of them will have a better career.
