Andrea Stramaccioni who is currently a TV-pundit talked about the sale of Mateo Kovacic and revealed an interesting story:
“I believe that Mateo would fit best to play as a central midfielder in a 4-3-3 system or as support to a striker. I’ll reveal an interesting story. When we bought him from Dynamo Zagreb, Real Madrid wanted him. Moratti did great together with the directors to buy him in front of Real Madrid’s eyes since they had made an agreement to buy him at the end of the season.
I wanted Mateo at Inter and in Italy many forget about his age, he is born 94 and is still young. That Real Madrid payed so much for him proves his value. Over there they don’t do many bad deals with ammounts like this.”

Until now I still think that the best position of Kovacic should be as no.10..He has already shown some brilliance when playing in that position last season..The hat-trick against Stjarnan, dominant performance against Sassuolo at Meazza, and goals against Lazio and Cagliari are testament of it.. He is sort of fantasista.. Unfortunately players like him are no longer needed in modern football where physical approach is the most important aspect of the game..I would say his sale to Real Madrid would be win win solution..We got big money from him to reinvest in other player and the boy will get chance to show his skills elsewhere..Only time will tell whether this boy will be another “the one that got away” or not..
do u really think that investing all kovacic moneys for stupid borini and overpriced perisic is a good deal?????
Use your head before speak something..I never said that we use the Kovacic’s money for Perisic or Borini..Inter probably use that money to cover for Kondogbia’s transfer..
u said ”We got big money from him to reinvest in other player”, so who need to use his head before speak??? when u go to the shop to buy food do u use money or u just take and leave with obligation for payment in the future….kondogbia deal is already done! and we already paid for him!!! and this has nothing to do with kova sales money and only a fully retarded moron cant see that!!! yes his money can balance our books but it has nothing to do with kondogbia’s purchase…
hmm he played more like and outside left central midfielder under Mancini – more or less what Kondogbia is ment to do for us this year. Kova tracked players all the way back to our penalty box (which never was a safe thing) and he ran the hole field back up to the aponents goal aswell.. the games where he was played behind the strikers he quite frankly sucked!
