Andrea Stramaccioni who is currently a TV-pundit talked about the sale of Mateo Kovacic and revealed an interesting story:

Moratti did great together with the directors to buy him in front of Real Madrid’s eyes since they had made an agreement to buy him at the end of the season.
I wanted Mateo at Inter and in Italy many forget about his age, he is born 94 and is still young. That Real Madrid payed so much for him proves his value. Over there they don’t do many bad deals with ammounts like this.”
