In the past few months Andrea Ranocchia has went from being the immoveable object and Inter captain to being a bench player, and he could well decide to leave Inter despite recently signing a new contract until 2019.

The new defensive pairing of Miranda and Murillo now seems to be the starter which complicates Ranocchia’s position.

According to reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport there was a proposal from rivals AC Milan – only contact with the player and it is thought that Milan were willing to include Alessandro Matri but the deal never took off.

The other club interested is Valencia who are looking for a central defender after selling Otamendi. However Ranocchia isn’t the Spanish club’s first choice. Their first choice is Abdennour from Monaco.

Abdennour’s agent Mauel Montipo was in Monte Carlo last night to attend Monaco vs Valencia just to test the waters with the Spanish club.

Today, however there should be a meeting with Inter to assess the situation as a whole. The latest rumour is that Andrea Ranocchia and Inter could part ways if not now, possibly in January.
